The Walking Classroom takes its first steps

Today we started with a class about religions and pilgrimages in Norway. We reflected on what is sacred for us and why do people do pilgrimages. After that we started our first stage from Tonsberg to Asgarstrand, 19 km through beautiful norwegian forests with plenty of colours under a blue sky. During the walk we had time to walk in silence and also time to walk by pairs from different countries and get to know each other. We ended the day with a surprising visit to Edward Much’s house. There we learned many things about the troubled life of one of the most famous impresionist painters.

After dinner at the hotel our students wrote down in their notebooks some reflections about the day.
